Isn’t the Fairy of Miracles amazing? He benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Designing this Fairy was a challenge in that I wanted his costume to be outstanding & at the same time, live up to his name…”The Fairy of Miracles!” So he went thru many costume changes, alterations & revisions…changes in fabrics, colors, trims, etc, etc. I think I must have made at least 50 alterations to his outfit. Getting the elements of his staff just right was so important too…from the rainbow at the top, symbolizing a new beginning, to the dove, the heart & star, each with their own special meanings. Narrowing down my choice of words for his staff was also a challenge. I chose the 4 (Hope, Believe, Dream & Love) for obvious reasons, but also because during my tour of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, I was moved by a display of drawings there, done by many of their young patients.
The Fairy of Miracles should be available around March or April, maybe even sooner. So please contact your favorite retailer today & reserve yours. I am sure you will not only love the Fairy of Miracles but that you also will be heartened to know that a portion of your purchase will go a long way towards Pediatric Research at St. Jude.
I have pledged to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital a minimum of at least $40,000* in 2008 & 2009. With your help, this can be even more, resulting in more dollars toward life saving research & care for some very sick children.

You’re so very welcome Mark. Dillon personally told me to tell you thank you as well.

Connie’s commentary below is right on the mark. Although I do not know anyone personally who has been treated at St. Jude, I have been to the hospital 2 times over the past 2 Summers. This July, I had the opportunity to speak before an assembly at St. Jude prior to presenting a Fairy of Miracles to one of their patients. (A larger donation of the Fairy of Miracles and other Fairies was also donated to St. Jude to be given to their patients sometime in the future.) I was infinitely impressed not only with the facilities, but especially with their mission to help children without regards to their ability to pay. Their research is world class, and they generously share their findings with other hospitals, backing up and living their mission of helping children with life threatening illness.
Thanks so much Connie for sharing your story and a thank you to everyone who has purchashed a Fairy of Miracles (or will be). St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a worthy of our support and I strongly urge everyone to consider supporting St. Jude on a monthly basis.

I spent last weekend in Memphis visiting a dear friend at St.Judes. His name is Dillon, & he has been a St.Judes patient since he was 5 yrs old. He recently celebrated his 16th birthday. Without the help of St.Judes & strong Faith in God…Dillon wouldn’t have survived the last 11 yrs.
Dillon gave us a tour of St. Judes Chilis Care Center while we were there. He continues his battle with his inoperable malignant brain tumor, but with the help of St.Judes & strong Faith in God, we believe he will win his battle with Cancer.
I purchased a second Fairy of Miracles recently, to give to Dillon as a gift. I haven’t given it to him just yet, as I plan to wait & have Mark sign it for Dillon when I bring it with me to Decori this November. Dillon & I both live near the Kansas City area.
Thank you so much for helping the children & families of St.Judes with your charitable Fairy of Miracles. I personally know how much St.Judes does for the children & their families. Most importantly, with charitable help such as your Fairy of Miracles provides, together many lives are saved.
God Bless,
Connie

Thank you Rebecca for the kind words…I remember meeting your mother, and it was also my pleasure. I truly enjoy meeting people while I am on Signing Tour…those moments are all very special to me also. I am heartened to learn how much this affected your mom. Mom’s really are special aren’t they! A Happy New Year to you and your family.

Mark,
You’re fairies are healing. I look forward to adding this fairy to my growing collection. I wanted to also thank you for coming to Decori in Parkville, Missouri this year. Each year I bring my mom, who is in a wheel chair due to Multiple Sclerosis, and each year we both purchase a fairy for you to sign. You were so kind to my mom while she was there, and willing to accomodate her disability. It’s difficult to convince her to come out to events like this with me, because so much work goes into her wheel chair out and ensuring disability access. But after seeing you this year, my mom was glowing the entire drive home. She loves her fairies so much, she keeps them out through out the year. When she poses your fairies, for just a fraction of a second I think she forgets she is sick. As I said, your fairies are healing. I hope someday you create a Multiple Sclerosis awareness fairy. The color for M.S. is prism, because of the different symptoms M.S. patients experience.
Thank you so much, and we look forward to seeing you again next year. It will be our third year and is becoming a much anticipated tradition.
Sincerely,
Becky
